Dispute Resolution

We have the expertise to resolve disputes relating to commercial and/or residential property and also general commercial and personal disputes as efficiently and painlessly as possible.

Our focus is always on resolving potential disputes in the most straightforward and cost-effective fashion possible while protecting the interests of our clients at all times. This is preferably done without having recourse to litigation, which can be time-consuming and expensive. We will, where possible, in the first instance always seek to resolve disputes through correspondence, without prejudice meetings, or other forms of early alternative dispute resolution.

If litigation is unavoidable, we will take steps to ensure you have the most effective representation possible and you are kept well informed on likely costs, timescales and potential settlement options. We will also be able to discuss with you options such as litigation funding and after the event insurance.

In addition to advising on disputes relating to commercial and/or residential property, a non-exhaustive list of general commercial or personal disputes our lawyers have advised on in the past include:

  • Debt recovery
  • Insolvency proceedings
  • Breach of contract claims
  • Enforcement of judgments
  • Financial miss-selling claims
  • Joint venture disputes
  • Obtaining and resisting injunctions
  • Tax disputes
  • Probate disputes
